DOLA is a debt-backed & over-collateralized stablecoin pegged to the value of the USD. It is issued via the Inverse.finance platform and governed by the InverseDAO via the INV governance token. DOLA can be borrowed from different lending markets on Ethereum and Fantom. Thereby, borrowers can borrow up to 85% against their collateral. The peg stability mechanism is based on a flexible lending rate which can be lowered to increase the DOLA supply if its value is above $1 or increased to bring borrowers to repay their DOLA loans. This repaid DOLA can then be burned to decrease the supply and bring DOLA back to $1 if its value falls below the peg.

Risks:

  • Smart contract risk
  • Multi-sig owners of fed (minting) module could decide to mint an arbitrarily high number of DOLA
  • Risk of devaluation of on-chain collateral due to high-volatility
  • Loss of funds due to de-peg of DOLA
